1. Introduction

WardMeet ("the App") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, stored, and shared when you use WardMeet.

By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

WardMeet is provided as a free community service and is not intended to generate revenue, profit, advertising, subscriptions, or payments of any kind.

2. Who the App Is For

WardMeet is intended for adults (18 years and older) only.

• Access is limited to verified members of a specific church ward.
• Membership approval is required before access is granted.

Special Approval Situations

Not all users will necessarily be formal members of the Church. Assigned member(s) responsible for membership verification may approve limited exceptions, including:

• Individuals who are investigating the Church or otherwise actively participating in ward activities and are known to the ward community
• Active members attending a ward other than their assigned ward

If approved under these circumstances, the assigned verifier will determine which ward the account will be associated with in the App.

When members move to a different ward, their WardMeet ward should be updated (if WardMeet exists for the new ward) to prevent confusion among ward members.

Situations outside these guidelines may be reviewed and approved individually by the designated WardMeet verification member(s).

We do not knowingly collect information from children.

3. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary for the App to function as intended.

Information You Provide

• Name
• Profile photo
• Ward affiliation
• Interests, talents, or profession (optional)
• Activity or event posts and comments

Information Collected Automatically

• Basic device information (such as device type and operating system)
• App usage data (for functionality and performance only)

WardMeet does not collect:

• Payment or financial information
• Advertising data
• Location tracking data

4. How We Use Information

Your information is used solely to:

• Verify ward membership
• Display profiles within your ward
• Enable posting and responding to ward activities
• Maintain safety and respectful use of the App
• Improve app performance and reliability

Your information is never used for advertising or marketing purposes.

5. How Information Is Shared

Information is shared only in the following limited ways:

• With other approved members of your ward within the App
• With secure third-party infrastructure or hosting providers necessary to operate the App
• When required by law

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

6. Content Visibility

• Profile information, activity posts, and comments are visible only to approved and verified users within your associated ward.
• Information is not visible to the public or to other wards.
• No private messaging is available in the App.

Please be mindful of what you choose to share.

7. Data Storage and Security

Reasonable safeguards are used to protect your information. However, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

If a data security issue affecting your information occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to notify affected users.

You use the App at your own risk.

8. Data Retention

Information is retained only as long as:

• Your account remains active, or
• It is reasonably necessary to operate the App

Deleted information may remain in secure backups for a limited time before permanent removal.

Accounts and associated data may be removed if access is revoked or the App is discontinued.

9. Your Choices and Rights

You may:

• Request updates or corrections to your profile
• Request deletion of your account
• Stop using the App at any time

We will respond to deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe, typically within 30 days.

Requests can be made by contacting the App creator.

10. Emergency Use Disclaimer

WardMeet should not be relied upon for urgent or emergency communication.

11. International Use

WardMeet may be used by wards worldwide. By using the App, you understand that information may be stored or processed in the United States.

12. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
